In May 2025, the Ice Hockey World Championship is coming to Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. The championship is jointly hosted by Sweden and Denmark, with the world's 16 best ice hockey nations divided between the host cities, Stockholm and Herning. The following nations will play in Herning: Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Kazakhstan, the USA, Switzerland, and the defending world champions from the Czech Republic. The Ice Hockey World Championship will bring two weeks of festive excitement to the city, with bustling streets and enthusiastic fans from all over the world. The tournament will be one of the biggest sporting events on Danish soil in 2025.
On this event you will get behind the scenes of this big Herning-event in a presentation will be given by Ulrik Larsen. Ulrik has had an impressive ice hockey career—he has played for the Danish national team and served as the director of the Danish Ice Hockey Union from 2015 to 2022. Since then, he has been the CEO of Ice Hockey World Championship 2025, organizing the Danish part of the tournament.
